Compliance Management Solution for the State of North Carolina, Department of Revenue

November 24, 2008.  Pembroke, MA – Revenue Solutions, Inc. (RSI), a company that specializes in providing revenue and compliance management products and services specifically to federal, state and local government revenue agencies, is pleased to announce that the North Carolina Department of Revenue (NC DOR) recently selected the combined team of CGI Group Inc. (prime contractor), and Revenue Solutions, Inc. to implement the Department's modernized Tax Information Management System (TIMS).

The TIMS solution will replace the NC DOR's first-generation integrated tax system implemented in 1994, as well as a host of other miscellaneous tax systems. “This award is an important step on North Carolina's path towards achieving our e-business vision of using technology to improve services to our citizens and enable taxpayers to access all DOR services online at any time,” said Reginald S. Hinton, Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

CGI teamed with RSI to implement its compliance management suite of products and services. RSI is responsible for implementing all components of its DiscoverTax® (including Audit Workbench) and TaxMaster® products to enable data-driven audit selection, centralized audit case management, and improved field audit. Compliance management services include a host of internal and external data loads for multiple tax years, individual and business audit selection compliance programs, decision analytics for enhanced audit selection and collections case scoring, and field audit workpaper configuration in TaxMaster® for all tax types available for field audit. In addition to the DiscoverTax® and TaxMaster® services, RSI is providing additional consulting services such as data conversion from the DOR's legacy tax systems into the new TIMS solution.

The TIMS contract is scheduled for 36 months and the start-up activities have already begun.
